This course is designed to deepen secondary English teachers' expertise in teaching writing, while offering innovative strategies applicable across languages. At its heart, the course aims to help teachers inspire a genuine love for writing in their students.
Participants engage with video lectures, readings, reflections, practice tasks, and quizzes — all grounded in competency-based teaching and designed with ICT integration, inclusive strategies, and socio-emotional learning in mind.
By the end of the course, teachers will be equipped to:
• Design engaging, learner-centred and activity-based writing lessons
• Incorporate inclusive writing activities and formative assessments
• Integrate free ICT tools meaningfully into their classrooms
• Create reflective, inclusive lesson plans for teaching writing
